Variety Description
The White Long Radish is a productive variety with smooth, long white roots. The shape is cylindrical and uniform. The flesh is crisp, refreshing and mildly spicy. Because of these qualities, the variety is ideal for fresh dishes and light meals.
Growing Requirements
This radish grows best in cool climates. It prefers light soil with good drainage. Consistent moisture helps the roots stay tender. In addition, organic fertilizer improves size and flavour. The White Long Radish performs well in successive sowings throughout the season.
Sowing and Planting
Sowing takes place from February to May and again in autumn. Seeds are placed in rows with small spacing. After sowing, the soil should remain moist to support even germination. Harvest begins 30–45 days later. Roots should be picked when they are tender and before they develop fibres.
