The ‘Double Yellow’ Freesia (Freesia) is an attractive autumn-planted bulb with double, bright yellow flowers and a pleasant fragrance. Its sunny colour adds warmth to pots, flower beds and spring garden displays. The plant usually grows to around 30–40 cm tall.
Plant the bulbs in autumn in a sunny and sheltered position. Choose light, well-drained soil for healthy growth. In areas with mild winters, you can grow freesias outdoors in the garden. In colder areas, protect the bulbs from severe frost.
