The Romaine Lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. longifolia) is a tall, upright variety characterized by elongated, crisp leaves that form a loose to semi-compact head. The  Romaine type has increased heat and bolting resistance, making it ideal for summer cultivation. Romaine lettuce seeds produce vigorous plants with vibrant green leaves and a mild, refreshing flavor.

Romaine lettuce thrives in sunny locations and fertile, well-drained soils with a pH of 6–7.5. Sowing takes place from March to September, either directly in the field or in seedbeds, with spacing of 30–35 cm between plants and 40–50 cm between rows. Harvesting occurs 60–75 days after sowing, when leaves reach full size and crispness.

The Summer Romaine is a high-quality variety, rich in vitamins A, C, and K, calcium, and antioxidants, supporting a healthy, balanced diet. It is widely used in salads, sandwiches, and gourmet dishes for its freshness and flavor.
