The ‘Double Blue’ Freesia (Freesia) is an attractive autumn-planted bulb with double blue-purple flowers and a pleasant fragrance. Its unusual colour adds an elegant touch to pots and garden displays. The plant usually grows to around 30–40 cm tall.
Plant the bulbs in autumn in a sunny and sheltered position. Choose light, well-drained soil for healthy growth. In areas with mild winters, freesias can grow outdoors in the garden. Protect the bulbs from severe frost in colder areas.
