The Tulip ‘Apeldoorn’ is a classic Darwin Hybrid with large, vibrant red flowers. Its strong upright stems support impressive blooms and create a bold display in the spring garden. The plant grows around 55 cm tall.
Plant the bulbs in autumn in a sunny or lightly shaded position. Choose fertile, well-drained soil and avoid areas where water collects. The flowers appear in spring, usually during the middle of the tulip season.
This variety is ideal for borders, flower beds and group plantings. Its rich red colour pairs beautifully with yellow, white and bicoloured tulips. It also grows well in large pots and containers. The strong stems and large blooms make it an excellent choice for cut flowers.
