Bottiglia (Cucurbita moscBottiglia Pumpkin |Georgikos Oikoshata)

A traditional Mediterranean pumpkin variety producing long, bottle-shaped fruits 30–60 cm long and weighing 3–8 kg. The rind is smooth and light green, turning beige when mature, while the flesh is deep orange, sweet, and aromatic — perfect for soups, pies, and desserts. Bottiglia pumpkin seeds produce vigorous trailing plants with excellent yield and heat resistance.

Sow April to June, once soil temperature exceeds 18°C. Prefers fertile, deep, well-drained soils and full sun. Space 120–150 cm between plants and 200–250 cm between rows.

Harvest 100–120 days after sowing, when the rind hardens and color deepens. This variety is highly drought-tolerant, easy to store, and ideal for home or commercial cultivation.
