A cool-season crop producing numerous compact sprouts along a tall, sturdy stem. Brussels sprouts seeds grow 60–90 cm high plants with dark green leaves and 2–4 cm firm buds maturing from the bottom upward.
Sow from June to August for winter harvests. Transplant August–September when seedlings are 15–20 cm tall. Harvest November–February as sprouts mature progressively. Prefers cool, fertile, well-drained soils with pH 6.5–7.5.
