Sowing takes place from April to June, directly in the field or in seedbeds for transplanting when soil temperatures exceed 18°C. Recommended spacing is 60–80 cm between plants and 100–120 cm between rows. Harvesting begins 45–55 days after sowing, and frequent picking encourages continuous fruiting.
