A classic Italian tomato variety producing elongated, meaty fruits 10–12 cm long, with deep red color and low acidity. San Marzano tomato seeds yield vigorous, high-yielding plants with dense foliage and continuous fruiting throughout summer.
Sow in seedbeds from February to April, and transplant when soil temperature exceeds 16–18°C. Prefers sunny locations and fertile, well-drained soils with a pH of 6.0–7.0. Space 40–50 cm between plants and 70–90 cm between rows.
Harvest about 75–90 days after sowing. The fruits have thick flesh, rich flavor, and few seeds, making them ideal for sauces, canning, and Mediterranean cooking. This variety is heat-tolerant and keeps excellent post-harvest quality.
