Variety Description
The Tomato Red Cherry is one of the most popular small-fruited tomato varieties. It produces numerous sweet, round fruits with bright red colour and strong aroma. Moreover, its flavour is rich and pleasant, making the variety ideal for fresh consumption and salads. The plant grows vigorously and keeps producing throughout the season.
Growing Requirements
This tomato grows best in sunny areas and in well-drained soil. Regular watering helps maintain sweetness and ensures uniform fruit development. In addition, organic fertilization improves yield and enhances flavour. Because the plant produces continuously, it benefits from proper staking.
Sowing and Planting
Sow seeds from February to April and transplant seedlings once they develop 4–6 true leaves. After planting, leave 60–80 cm between plants to allow good airflow. Harvest usually begins 65–75 days after transplanting and continues steadily as new clusters ripen.
Fruit Characteristics
The fruits are small, round and very sweet. They have thin skin and an intense aroma. Furthermore, Tomato Red Cherry is excellent for salads, snacks, appetizers, pizzas and decorative plating. The fruits also store well after harvest.
Advantages
This variety offers continuous production, strong flavour and easy cultivation. It is ideal for home gardens, pots, balconies and greenhouse growing.
