The ‘Purple Sensation’ Iris produces striking deep violet-blue flowers with a bright golden-yellow accent at the centre. Its rich colour creates a beautiful contrast with green foliage and adds an elegant focal point to the garden. The plant usually grows around 50–60 cm tall.
Plant the bulbs in autumn in a sunny position. Choose well-drained soil and avoid areas that remain excessively wet. Flowers usually appear from late spring to early summer.
This variety is ideal for borders, flower beds and group plantings. Its intense colour pairs beautifully with white and yellow flowers. You can also grow it in large pots and containers. The elegant blooms make excellent cut flowers for bouquets and floral arrangements.
