Tulip ‘Carnaval de Rio’ is a striking Triumph variety with large white flowers and distinctive bright red flame-like markings. The pattern varies slightly from flower to flower, giving each bloom a unique appearance. The plant usually grows around 55–60 cm tall.
Plant the bulbs in autumn in a sunny or lightly shaded position. Choose fertile, well-drained soil and avoid areas where water collects. Flowers usually appear in mid-spring on strong, upright stems.
This variety is ideal for borders, flower beds and group plantings. Its bold combination of white and red creates a striking spring display. It also grows well in pots and containers. The strong stems and colourful blooms make it an excellent choice for cut flowers.
