Πολυετές φυλλώδες λαχανικό με πλούσιο φύλλωμα και γρήγορη αναβλάστηση μετά τη συγκομιδή. Σχηματίζει μεγάλα, λογχοειδή φύλλα μήκους 30–40 cm, με έντονο πράσινο χρώμα και τρυφερή, ήπια υπόξινη γεύση. Οι σπόροι του δίνουν ανθεκτικά φυτά, που προσαρμόζονται εύκολα σε διάφορους τύπους εδαφών και αντέχουν τόσο στο ψύχος όσο και στη ζέστη.

Η σπορά πραγματοποιείται Φεβρουάριο έως Απρίλιο και Σεπτέμβριο έως Οκτώβριο, σε ηλιόλουστες ή ημισκιερές θέσεις, με καλά στραγγιζόμενο, πλούσιο σε οργανική ουσία έδαφος. Οι αποστάσεις φύτευσης είναι 30–40 cm μεταξύ των φυτών και 50–60 cm μεταξύ των γραμμών.

Η συγκομιδή ξεκινά 50–60 ημέρες μετά τη σπορά, κόβοντας σταδιακά τα εξωτερικά φύλλα. Το λάπατο είναι ιδανικό για μαγείρεμα, πίτες, βραστά και παραδοσιακές συνταγές, ενώ τα φύλλα του περιέχουν βιταμίνη C, σίδηρο και ασβέστιο. Πρόκειται για πολύ ανθεκτικό φυτό, με δυνατότητα επαναλαμβανόμενης συγκομιδής για 2–3 χρόνια.

Returns & Refunds
