Το φινόκιο (Foeniculum vulgare var. azoricum) είναι αρωματικό λαχανικό με χαρακτηριστικό άρωμα και γλυκιά, δροσιστική γεύση. Οι σπόροι φινόκιου δίνουν φυτά όρθιας ανάπτυξης, με λεπτά, νηματοειδή φύλλα και διογκωμένο, λευκό βολβό που αποτελεί το βρώσιμο τμήμα του φυτού. Πρόκειται για είδος υψηλής θρεπτικής αξίας, πλούσιο σε αιθέρια έλαια, βιταμίνες και ανόργανα στοιχεία.
Ευδοκιμεί σε δροσερό έως ήπιο θερμό κλίμα και προτιμά γόνιμα, καλά στραγγιζόμενα εδάφη, πλούσια σε οργανική ουσία. Η σπορά πραγματοποιείται την άνοιξη και το φθινόπωρο, είτε απευθείας στο χωράφι είτε σε σπορείο, με αποστάσεις 25–30 cm μεταξύ των φυτών και 40–50 cm μεταξύ των γραμμών. Η συγκομιδή γίνεται όταν οι βολβοί αποκτήσουν επαρκές μέγεθος και σταθερή υφή, συνήθως 80–100 ημέρες μετά τη σπορά.
Είναι κατάλληλη για φρέσκια κατανάλωση ή μαγείρεμα, ενώ αποτελεί βασικό συστατικό της μεσογειακής και ιταλικής κουζίνας. Εκτός από τη γαστρονομική του αξία, παρουσιάζει και ευεργετικές ιδιότητες για το πεπτικό σύστημα, χάρη στα αιθέρια έλαια που περιέχει.

Returns & Refunds
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return, To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the order confirmation, order number, or proof of purchase. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
